Landscapes that strengthen our relations.
Specializing in ecologically mindful ornamental and culinary gardens that curate whimsy where Ystävät (friends) grow.
Hello,
I'm Hannah Six, an independent landscape designer with Finnish roots and a passion for creating spaces that connect people. My approach centers on relation building, whether that's pairing natural materials, thoughtful use of shade, or blending ecological services with culinary harvests. I cultivate designs that respond to their local environmental biome while supporting human connections in the Pacific Northwest's Willamette Valley.
Philosophy
In Finnish, Ystävä (OOS-ta-va) translates to friend. A term reserved for a close, trusted companion with whom you share a deep, meaningful connection.
It is this dynamic Ystävä-like familiarity with soils, plants, birds, and insects, alongside the human hand that grounds my design work.
Approach
Blending function, native plants, and timeless garden aesthetics to create meaningful outdoor spaces for meaningful friendships to flourish.
